I’ve worked in the broadcast sector for over twenty seven years in a variety of management roles including commercial, business development and managing regulated business. I am currently working with Encompass advising on a major investment in the broadcast sector. Prior to that I worked with various clients including Eurovision, 4M and Comux UK and also advised on the 700MHz clearance programme. As the Regulatory and Compliance Director, I led the regulated business of Arqiva which included responsibility for managing the company’s regulatory business for TV and radio. I was also responsible for compliance and managing relations with the UK industry regulators Ofcom and the Office of the Adjudicator – Broadcast Transmission. I was a member of the Arqiva senior management team overseeing a £750m infrastructure programme to enable Digital Terrestrial Television Digital Switch over in the UK. In 2002, I represented Crown Castle as one of the three partners in the launch of ‘Freeview’ and led negotiations with customers such as MTV, BSkyB, emap, Channel 4.
